Payments & Cancellations

What is your deposit and payment policy?

  • A 50% deposit by personal or business check, or credit/debit card is required to confirm your reservation, with the remaining balance due 90 days prior to arrival. Reservations made less than 90 days prior to arrival must be paid in full at time of booking. Reservations made from overseas much be paid in full at time of booking with a credit card, regardless of when the reservation is made.

What is your cancellation policy?

  • The Ridgewood Lodge is a small, remote lodge serving relatively few clients each summer season. Because of this, we have to adhere to a strict cancellation policy, as they can crucially affect our business.

  • For cancellations made more than 120 days before the booking date:
    • 80% of the deposit will be refunded (minus any applicable fees).
    • The remaining 20% of the deposit can be applied toward rescheduled dates the same year, the singular following year, or transferred to another party.
  • For cancellations made between 91 and 119 days before the booking date:
    • The full deposit is non-refundable but can be applied toward rescheduled dates the same year, the singular following year, or transferred to another party.
  • For cancellations made 90 days or less before the booking date:
    • 100% non-refundable payment of the total reservation cost is contractually owed.
    • The full amount may be transferred to another party for the booking date but cannot be used to reschedule.

  • Rescheduling: You will have 12 months to reschedule a reservation to a date mutually agreed upon by all parties. The Lodge is booked on a first-come, first-served basis. The percentage value of your postponed reservation will be applied to the rates, terms, and inclusions of the next season, which are subject to change.

  • Booking changes: All administrative changes are subject to a fee of $100 per person.

  • Lodge Buyouts: For Lodge buyouts, differing policies and payment terms may apply on a case-by-case basis.

  • Unforeseen Circumstances: The Ridgewood Lodge does not provide refunds for cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances such as wildfires and/or inclement weather, medical, or family emergencies. These and other forces beyond our control are subject to our stated cancellation policy.

  • Insurance: The Ridgewood Lodge cannot assume financial responsibility for any cancellations, and ‘Cancel for Any Reason’ travelers insurance is strongly encouraged.
