Flight Seeing Tours

What is a flight seeing tour?

  • Flight seeing adventures are scenic tours that are taken on a fixed wing aircraft to enjoy a bird's-eye view of the majesty of this great state. Beautiful scenery is abundant in Alaska, but the southern Kenai Peninsula is one of the top, must-see places.  Where else can you fine snow capped mountains, glaciers, salt water bays, coves, and estuaries all surrounded by thousands of square miles of productive ocean waters? Until you have seen it from the air your view is incomplete.

How much do flight seeing tours cost?

  • It depends - our guests frequently choose the option of getting dropped off in the State Park to spend the day hiking & kayaking, then enjoying a flight seeing tour when they get picked up on their way back to the Lodge. For a list of flight seeing options and prices, please visit our Flight Seeing Page.

What is the duration of a flight seeing tour?

  • Generally speaking, a flight seeing tour that is combined with one of our other activities will last 1 hour, however we can tailor any trip to your group's specific interests.

What type of plane will be used for our flight seeing tour?

  • Your flight seeing tour will either be in a Cessna 206 or DHC-3 Otter, depending on the size of your group. Both are very common Alaska Bush planes, and bush pilots in Alaska must have extensive training and experience.
