| August 29, 2011 Your Alaska at Ridgewood Lodge in Halibut Cove is a world apart from our everyday lives...AND...We learned from Kevin that "the climb is almost over"...Bowman taught us to "reset our attitudes" each morning...We discovered from Lucinda and Jessica that seafood chowder, home baked pumpkin bread and raspberry pie are balm for the soul as well as the tummy...Talon reminded us what a joy a boy can be...Thanks for your careful and loving shepherding...we leave refreshed in body and inspired in mind... :) Rod & Anne Miller Honolulu, HI |

I think the hike to the glacier was my favorite with everyone having a chance to kayak. September 2, 2010 What a treat! From the very first email exchange with Jessica, we felt the warmth and hospitality that awaited us at Ridgewood Lodge. The extraordinary daily adventures – hiking, kayaking, boating in the most glorious and outstandingly beautiful places with the guiding of Kevin, Bowman and Jeremie were truly magical – then to come back to Lucinda’s delicious dinner’s which were healthy and fabulous made for perfect days. And to top it all off with the company of caring of this delightful family who took care of us beyond the call – even providing us with warming layers of their own clothing so we would be comfortable on our excursions! July 14, 2010 How can you adequately thank someone for taking you into their home, caring for you like family and giving you one of the best adventures of your life? That’s exactly what Kevin, Lucinda, Bowman, Jess and Talon did!!! From the moment we arrived I felt like we were coming to see family we hadn’t seen in years and they were pulling out all the stops for us! Kevin – what a treat to talk with you and see and hear all that you’ve created. I truly believe you can build, fix and design anything. Your lodge is amazing – so warm and comfortable! Lucinda – oh the food!!! So lovingly prepared and served and just downright delicious to eat! Thanks for the recipes! Bowman – tour guide and host extraordinaire! Thanks for your patience in answering all our questions, taking picture and taking us on an amazing adventure. The hike and kayaking among icebergs to the glacier. So fun to see the iceberg crack and split apart! Talon – such a sweet boy – fun to see the family grow and the future of the lodge! Betty – what a loving, sweet lady! Loved talking to you about your family, seeing your pictures (you’re a whiz with a camera!) and the lovely sewing you do. Such energy and talent! Jess – such a calm, serene and beautiful person – thanks for answering all our questions and getting our reservation all set. The website peaked our interest in coming but talking got you confirmed our decision to come! Thank you all for such a wonderful time – may God continue to bless you in all you do! |

June 22, 2010 Kevin, Lucinda, Jessica and Bowman – Tim and I want to thank you for the fantastic time in your home. The food was phenomenal. Your hospitality made us feel like we were part of the family. We weren’t quite sure what to expect but the experience was more than we could have anticipated. Thank you for taking such good care of us on the glacier hike and kayak, boat tour and lake tour. It’s definitely turned out to be a great honeymoon. We truly hope to come back in a few year. June 13, 2010 What a fantastic weekend! Thanks for an exquisite time. You have every aspect covered. Jessie – from our 1st emails – you made us feel welcomed and special. Lucinda & Jessie.....magnificent food! Kevin & Jeremie – terrific tour guides! The trip to Glacier Lake was a dream come true for us!! Bowman – sharing stories, those photos, attending to needs we didn’t know we had. And Talon....what a delightful young man! Bottomline....this is a class act. It is a true, wonderful piece of Alaska. The views....everything. I could go on and on. One other thing we enjoyed – sitting with the other guests for meals. Great group! Such fun! Much laughter! This is a great place and it starts with you 4! Mike and I are so glad that we chose Ridgewood for our 1st trip/vacation weekend in many years. It exceeded all expectations. |

We enjoyed our hike to Moose Valley with Kevin including the spectacular boat ride to and from the park. Lucinda and Jess’s cooking was incredible and those oysters! Thank you Bowman. | August 14, 2008 We had a wonderful time fishing at the stream and up at the lake. Viewing the school of Salmon at the head of the stream was amazing - a very unique site! And of course we caught our limit in Reds! The experience was “Alaskan” - a scenic location with local cuisine. Lucinda’s cooking is excellent – especially the cakes and breads. July 12, 2008 For years I’ve wanted to visit Alaska, but staying with you I’ve lived Alaska. Your warmth and open invitation welcomed us all from the moment we arrived. For years to come we will tell stories and share the experiences you have shared with us. Bowman, Jess, and “Katie” (aka. Cailey) took wonderful care of us on our day fishing and bird watching.
